I am a cheese lover. And I enjoy the Greek Feta.
Here are the ingredients for this easy and yummy treat:
200 grams of Greek Feta cheese
2 tablespoons of multi-purpose flour
1 egg
1 1/2 tablespoon of white sesame seeds
1 1/2 tablespoon of black sesame seeds
1 teaspoon of coconut oil
Herbs to taste
Honey to taste
Whisk the egg with your mix of herbs in the first bowl. I use the Bouquet Garni from Ducros but you can add only thyme or any flavors you fancy. Put the flour in a second bowl, and roll the feta pieces in it to cover all parts. I kept the 200 grams in one chunk for my first trial. In a third bowl, mix the white and black raw sesame seeds. Roll your feta in the flour first, then in the egg with herbs, and finally the sesame seeds. Heat the oil on medium heat and then add the breaded feta. Turn until golden. Ensure the heat is not too strong or the sesame seeds would get burned.
You can choose to make smaller cubes of feta and follow the same breading and cooking process to be eaten as quick bites or added to a fresh salad. Serve warm with a drizzle of honey.
Bon appétit 😋
