Beetroot furnishes us with iron, folate, vitamin C, nitrate, magnesium and antioxidants. Not only is this vegetable rich in nutrients, it also can lower blood pressure, reduce inflammation, detoxify the liver or even boost energy levels. Packed with fiber, beets also help with digestion.
Beetroot can be consumed in different ways: in salads, as a soup, in a smoothie or even as a beauty product. Nonetheless, be careful to avoid over consuming beets because it might cause kidney stones.
