I have always had a fascination with wolves, although I am more of a feline lover. Yet wolves carry this compassion mixed with a rivalry that is very intriguing and quite insightful. They live in packs and if you would like to find out about the ways wolves interact and lead, this is the book for you! The authors spent years observing this specific pack that they created; it was not formed under natural circumstances. They named the wild canines and took notes on the hierarchy that developed. I mostly enjoyed discovering how alpha and omega male and female of the group were “selected” and their behavior towards each other. We humans could learn a lot from wolves, who cannot and should not be reduced to vicious predators as the urban stories depict them. An interesting read that I recommend 🙂
