What is considered a superfood? In marketing terms, because alas, that is not a scientific denomination, a superfood is a food that provides a lot of nutrients and is packed with health benefits. Since experts dispute this terminology, let's simply check the list of what avocados offer:

- High in mono-saturated fats, avocados can lower the risk of heart disease

- Their high concentration of potassium and little sodium intake allows them to lower blood pressure

- Rich in many vitamins such as vitamins A, C, E, and K, avocados can help prevent kidney and liver damage, keep your skin healthy and glowing, and even fight off fatigue

- They contain fiber, which can prevent constipation and improve digestion, and improve gut health

- Rich in oleic acid, avocados can enhance your brain health and memory.

There are different types and many more varieties of avocados. The difference lies in the time the opening time and the pollination of the flowers.

You can add this fruit to your salads, soups, or salsa. It can be used as a spread and/or dip with your bread and replace butter, mayonnaise, or sour cream. Pressed from its pulp, avocado oil can be added to your food in its raw or cooked form. It is often utilized for lubrication and in cosmetics.

It is best to eat avocados in moderation, like any other food. Overconsumption can cause allergies.

Next time you order or make your own guacamole, think of all the nutrients you are ingesting and enjoy your superfood!
