I never was a World Of WarCraft gamer. Oh, I did from time to time play with my siblings but I cannot really say I was a devotee like they were of the game. This book nonetheless caught my eye as I was getting some office supplies at the National Bookstore in Cebu. I glanced at the back of the cover and spotted the words druids, mysteries, and dragons. I was sold on the spot. I couldn't wait to get through the queue at the cashier's to get home and start reading...

Written by Richard Allen Knaak, a bestselling author, the plot seems very complex and full of entanglements. At some point, the reader wonders what is really going on as the storyline induces confusion. To sum it up without any spoiler, the Emerald Nightmare has been growing within the Emerald dream transforming it into a horrific realm. Druids, who had been keeping the balance of nature on Azeroth by monitoring the Dream, are facing more and more disturbances in their actions. I was thrilled by the reading. I particularly enjoyed learning more about Teldrassil, the "Crown of the Earth", in fact, an island housing a huge tree, where night elves have taken refuge in their battle against the demons who caused the spiritual instability. Will they succeed?

Whether you are a WWC fan or not, this book is an amazing read. After a decade of savoring it, the imageries of the different scenes are still vivid in my mind. The way the plot is resolved at the end is simply awesome. I recommend it as a read.
