For this recipe, you will need:

2 cups of chickpeas

1/4 cup of Tahini (sesame paste)

1 lemon to squeeze

1 tsp of salt

1 garlic clove (to taste)

1 or 2 tbsp water (to taste)

I start preparing my hummus in advance by soaking the chickpeas in water and changing the water every 8 hours. This way, any toxins are removed and you will avoid any digesting discomfort 😉

If you have a pressure cooker, you will save a lot of time by cooking the chickpeas for about 25 minutes. You can also use a regular cooking pot. It will just take some more time to get ready. Chickpeas need to be very well cooked for a better texture and taste of your hummus. There is absolutely no need to peel off the skin of the chickpeas. A lot will lose the skin and you can remove it but it will make no difference at all if you do or don’t.

Drain the chickpeas. Add all the aforementioned ingredients to your blender and let it run until you have a smooth paste. Your dip is now ready to be served! You can consume it with grilled food or also raw cucumbers, carrots, or simply some bread. Bon appétit😋

When you give it a try, share pics/vids of your concoctions!
