The Hoya Carnosa is native to Eastern Asia and Australia. This perennial house plant can be grown inside or outside, in a planter, or the soil. Its leaves have a glossy texture, which explains the name of wax plant that some use to designate it. The bloom looks like half a sphere and has a diamond shape. The soil has to be well draining for the Hoya Carnosa to thrive. Beware of placing it in direct sunlight: it might burn its foliage. Avoid watering it too much: soaking ground is a catastrophe for the Hoya Carnosa! Make sure that this plant is exposed to cool temperatures below 11 degrees Celsius. When the plant is flowering, you can provide it with fertilizer to aid growth and blossoms. There is no reported medicinal use of the Hoya Carnosa but some people use flowers to make perfume.
