Another entertaining story, far-fetched, like the previous Holmes feature released in 2009, sometimes witty, always interesting. In this adventure, Dr. Watson is about to get married and his good friend Sherlock Holmes is onto another mystery to be solved. Of course, the villain of the crime drama is Professor Moriarty. What is he plotting for this time? The stakes are high and might lead to a war between countries. Will the tandem Holmes-Watson be able to dismantle the cogs at play? Where in a traditional Holmes tale our detective would retreat to his chambers to think about the case at hand, this movie shows the spectator Victorian London, Paris, and some locations in Switzerland. The narrative weave is not a slow one. Robert Downey Jr. is also starring Holmes in this film, which is akin to a Bond thriller with things exploding and happening on the go. A diverting 2 hours that was able to take my mind off some more serious matters I was considering. Enjoy this watch!
