Elvis

This musical drama recounts the biography of the King of Rock 'n Roll, from the perspective of his crooked manager, Colonel Parker, who realizes Elvis' potential early on. Elvis is starred by Austin Butler, who nails the role and has been acclaimed for his outstanding performance. The biopic is a little long, 2 and a half hours, but does well explaining the influence of Gospel and Blues on the white American boy, the mistakes he makes along his career, and his descent. The viewer will get to know how he met Priscilla and that Elvis was deeply affected by the assassinations of Martin Luther King and Robert F. Kennedy. Curious to learn more about the King?
