I started writing this post a few years ago but never published it. When my phone was stolen recently, I wished I had backed up the hundreds of pictures and videos I had taken... But since I am sure I will be visiting Brazil again, I will just upload the latest beautiful ones that were not lost...

Saturday, May 4, 2019. It's 03:03 am. My taxi just took off to get me to the airport. My trip is coming to an end. A few minutes earlier, and with mixed feelings, I had hugged my best friend and her husband goodbye before departing.

Sitting in the back seat, I start reflecting on what is awaiting me at the office on Monday morning. I return to the present and try to make out something of the road. It is still too dark. The drive to Guarulhos Airport would take about 70 to 80 minutes, so I decided to start writing about the past few weeks, during which I relaxed, laughed, and experienced a lot.

To note, Brazil being a huge country getting from one location to another requires a lot of time. That was what mainly prevented me from touring around more. It just meant I focused on quality time where I was and that's an essential part of any vacation, isn’t it?

To most people, Brazil is associated with football. Which is indeed a big thing there! But the sub-continent is so much more than just that! It is paradisiac beaches, coffee, fashion, music and culture, various industries, and so much more! In this series, I will post pictures of my trips there. Because I have been visiting the different regions since 2005 and there are still so many others to explore ✈️

First stop: São Paulo, where I always touch base before starting my trips and journeys 😁
